Nasty C is a native of the Soweto neighborhood of Johannesburg’s Diepkloof, a small town. But after his mother passed away, he was compelled to move. He was reared by his father, David Maviyo Ngcobo, a human resources manager, and lived in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, until he was 11 months old. Prior to his rise to fame in the industry, his father was not a fan of his music.
For this song, Nasty C enlisted the help of Burna Boy, a formidable and award-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter.
